Sophia Domancich began her musical studies at the age of six. She graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de
Musique de Paris with a first prize in piano and a first prize in chamber music.
She discovered jazz and improvisation with Steve Lacy and Laurent Cugny, who invited her to join his big band Lumière.
